Added a couple of images to the NGC page from last night. Reasonably clear but intermittent thin clouds altered the transparency. NGC 4631 with Seestar S50 and NGC 5033 with CarbonStar RC150. Exposure was about 2 hours for each. Because of varying conditions, had to discard about 50% of actual raw images. Processed in Astro … More New Images

2012-09-12. Images from dark sky site near Peebles Ohio. The images were taken with a 130mm f/8 refractor on a Mach1 mount. Q453 CCD imager, using various numbers of 5 minutes subs calibrated with darks. The night was exceptioally dark and clear with great seeing.
